When Your Mind Can Travel, Inspiration Follows

It’s probably not a surprise for anyone to hear that we love traveling. We especially love traveling with the kids and exposing them to new countries, cultures, beautiful sites and food.
Traveling truly makes all of us so happy and it is quality time that we get to spend together as a family. As I sat on the plane last night from Toronto to Copenhagen, a Marriott ad popped up and the following words scrolled across the screen… “When your mind can travel, inspiration follows.” Wow! How true is this?!? I can relate to this quote in so many ways but to expand upon this a bit, traveling allows me the opportunity to unwind and relax, to be creative and to be inspired.
We have our bucket list of places we wish to visit and while Copenhagen was on the list, it wasn’t at the top. However, several months ago we found an incredible deal on flights so we decided to move that up to the top. We are also happy because JT was able to join us on this trip for another adventure. After only being here one day, I’m really glad that we did. We are staying in a beautiful Airbnb home that overlooks the Teglvaerkskaien. Seeing the Northern Lights tonight isn’t looking promising, but I’m hopeful we will see them while on this trip. Jon and I were lucky enough to see them while in Iceland but we would love for the kids to see them as well.
The kids were so amazed that the airport had a LEGO vending machine and an awesome plane built out of LEGOS. I too was pretty amazed as well. Denmark is the home of LEGOS so this shouldn’t have surprised us too much. I’m hoping we can find some neat LEGO spots tomorrow for the kids to explore.
We left out of Newark on Wednesday, connected in Toronto and arrived today. We enjoyed a great lunch at Tivoli Hall, rode on the metro and bus, napped, food shopped and enjoyed a great dinner prepared by Jon. Tomorrow we will head out to see even more of this beautiful city and #jonthepizzaguy of YouTube will be trying some local pizza places.
